Hello. It's me. My name is Erik. I am not French. But my wife is.
For the past 5 years I've been working at tech companies in Boston and Cambridge, including HubSpot (current), Placester, and DailyBreak (now Breaktime Media). For 2 years before that I was a freelance writer by day and moonlit as a pub musician. I was living in Montreal at the time.
Before that I was a student at McGill University in Montreal, where I earned a B.A. in Humanistic Studies. What is Humanistic Studies, you might be wondering? Great question. Moving on ...
During my 4 years at McGill I worked as a busboy/barback at an Irish pub every Friday and Saturday night. My shifts started at 10pm and ended once we had cleared everyone out and cleaned up after last call, which was at 3am.
I'm still catching up on sleep.
Before all that craziness I worked as a lifeguard every summer during my high school years. I grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts and am a proud graduate of the Woburn public school system.
